The Continuing Journey
As I continue my journey through the world of woodturning, I find more and more different things to try. I suppose that if I were a "real artist" I would concentrate a a particular form, at least for a while, until I found some "true meaning." Unfortunately, I just like to make things that catch my eye. It's usually an "I can do that!" moment that gets me started, but pure stubbornness keeps me going until I finally get to something close.
I attend woodturning symposiums at both local and national levels and always come away with great enthusiasm and lots of great ideas. Eventually, I use some of the ideas in my pieces. I think I'm getting better, because I can now incorporate new ideas more easily than I could several years ago. New Turners! There's Hope! Practice really does make, if not perfect, at least better ! Regardless, please enjoy the pictures of my latest work, below. |
