Huntsville Botanical Garden Dogwood
All of the items on this page have been made for the 'Gift Shoppe' at the Huntsville Botanical Garden. The Dogwood comes from an approximately 120 year old tree that died in early 2011. This tree, known as the "Grand Old Lady," was transplanted from a Madison County farm to the Botanical Garden in the early 1990s. Cuttings from the Grand Old Lady were propagated by the Garden and are now growing around the spot she lived the last years of her life.
Starting in April 2012, wood from other local trees was added to the inventory, but items from the Dogwood remain the signature pieces for the Garden's gift shop. |
